Founded in 1995, maintains trails across eight areas around Nelson. Hosts the annual Kootenay Fat Tire Festival. Volunteer-run non-profit serving all ages and abilities.
Local trail associations run almost entirely on grants, membership fees, volunteer sweat, and donations. Whether it's raw materials or a few bucks from riders like you, it all adds up — roughly $16 per meter of trail to build from scratch.
