The KMBC works with trail builders and land managers to sustainably develop non-motorized riding in and around the area. TrailRipper's Take
Kaslo is one of those places where the scenery almost outcompetes the trails — Kootenay Lake from a ridgeline is something else. The network is still growing but it's being built thoughtfully and sustainably. The Family Mountain Bike Park is a gem for younger riders: relaxed, low-consequence, and designed with kids in mind. North Kootenay Bike Shop will sort you out for shuttles or e-bike rentals if you want to explore a bit further.
We loved hanging out by the Kaslo Sternwheeler (SS Moyie) by the beach and enjoying the low-key, friendly vibes. On cold/rainy days, Ainsworth Hotsprings is only 15min south - a favourite of ours!
